Hello from A Lush Life!
I’m Laura, the creator behind this healthy living blog showcasing how eating simply can become lush-cious. A Lush Life began a year ago when I started connecting food to the emotions and thoughts inspiring every dish I created. Now, it is a place where I share my favourite healthy living recipes and products while telling my story of living with chronic migraine, depression and anxiety.
I spent my childhood knee-deep in cookies, ice cream and my Babcia’s Nanaimo bars, but expanded my palate after realizing what you eat greatly affects your body. Through my chronic illness journey I’ve tried vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free diets. Although I mainly eat plant-based foods, I’ll admit bacon still happens every once in awhile.
I’m in love with Gabriella’s Kitchen™ because of it’s high-protein, low-carb and superfood ingredients. The pastas fit perfectly into my diet — especially when I have a migraine and need dinner STAT! The quick cooking time and quality nutrition make fuelling my body an easy task.
When I’m not whipping up a pasta sauce to serve with my pasta or helping others lead A Lush Life, I’m a freelance writer and editor, contributing to BC Food & Wine Trails, Culinaire, Eat North and more.
